Ever since Meta launched Muse on 8 September 2026, one question keeps coming up: where do I actually download it? If you searched Google Play and found nothing, or found a bunch of apps with similar names, you’re not alone. Here’s a clear, no-nonsense guide to every official way to get Muse, and what to do if it isn’t available in your country.
The quick answer
- Android, in the US, Canada or Japan: search for Muse from Meta on Google Play.
- Android, anywhere else (Pakistan, India and more): download the official, unmodified APK from our download section. It takes a few seconds.
- iPhone: the App Store, in countries where Muse is live.
- Any browser: muse.ai.
- WhatsApp: Muse can also be used inside WhatsApp where it’s available.
Downloading Muse on Android
On Android, the official listing is called Muse from Meta, and the developer is Meta Platforms, Inc. If you live in a country where Meta has launched Muse, Google Play is the easiest way to install it and keep it updated.
If the Play Store says the app isn’t available in your country, or it doesn’t show up in search at all, you can install the same official app as an APK file. We host the original file from Meta. We don’t modify, crack or re-sign it, and we list its version, file size and SHA-256 checksum so you can check it yourself. Just tap the download button, open the file and follow our step-by-step install guide.
Why can’t I find Muse on Google Play?
Meta is releasing Muse country by country. It went live in the United States on 8 September 2026, in Canada on 18 September and in Japan on 23 October. If your Google Play account is registered in any other country, the listing is simply hidden from you. It’s not a problem with your phone.
Can I download Muse in Pakistan or India?
Yes, you can download and install it. Muse isn’t on Google Play in Pakistan or India yet, but the official APK installs on any Android phone, no matter where you are.
One honest note: Muse runs through Meta’s servers and your Meta account. In countries where Meta hasn’t switched the service on yet, the app may show a not available message when you sign in. If that happens, keep the app installed. It should start working once Meta adds your country, and we update our availability section whenever that happens.
Getting Muse on iPhone
iPhone users can download Muse from the App Store in countries where it’s live. There’s no safe APK-style alternative on iOS, so if the App Store doesn’t show it, the web version at muse.ai is your best option.
Using Muse on the web, Mac and WhatsApp
You don’t need a phone app at all to try Muse. Meta also offers it on the web at muse.ai, as a Mac app, and inside WhatsApp. Your Muse agent is the same everywhere, so a task you start on your phone can continue on your laptop. Meta hasn’t announced a Windows app yet.
How to make sure you have the real Muse app
Because Muse is popular, plenty of unrelated apps use similar names. Before you install anything, check three things:
- The name: the official app is called Muse from Meta.
- The developer: it should say Meta Platforms, Inc.
- The price: the app is free to download. Muse has a free tier, plus optional Power ($20 a month) and Maximum ($100 a month) plans inside the app. Any site asking you to pay for the download itself is not legit.
When you download from our site, you can also match the SHA-256 checksum shown on the download section to confirm your file is identical to the original.
What you need before installing
- An Android phone with a working internet connection
- A Meta account (the one you use for Facebook or Instagram)
- You must be 18 or older to use Muse
